Airbnb reproduced the same room as Van Gogh’s bedroom to give the chance to its travelers and renters to be in immersion into the intimate space of the painter in Chicago. This initiative of Airbnb was related to the exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago which presents three different versions of the interior of Van Gogh located originally in Arles. For 9€/night, you can sleep in “his” room as he painted it, decorated with a post-impressionist style which recalls the South of France with its furniture and colors. The ressemblance is striking of realism : every object and wall was painted with contours, in a way that you could feel like in a real canvas painting.
