Jean-Michel Tixier is a self-taught French illustrator, passionate by comics since his childhood. He draws his inspiration from great masters of the French, Belgian and Dutch illustrations like Joost Swarte, Serge Clerc, Hergé and Chaland to make critic, contemporary and humorous artworks with clean lines.
In collaboration with Colette and M Le Magazine du Monde, agency Talkie Walkie organises from the 4th to the 30th January 2016 the exhibition Salutations distinguées by Jean-Michel Tixier at Colette (Paris). He will present among other things a book gathering his monthly illustrations for the M in which he gives his audacious vision but always fair of the world, that he ironizes in the issues more and more thanks to a comic and absurd of situation.
