Designer Oleksandra Gerasymchuk, whose we already know the work, is behind the project Second Skin : pieces of wood with graphic patterns used to mark the skin. Contrary to tattoos, these marks left by engravings in relief made on wood (thanks to the laser-cut technique) are ephemeral. This project invites to contact, gives a reflection on actual beauty standards and explores the notion of “mark”.
