Artist Jonathan Latiano did a installation named Flight of the Baiji, in the Baltimore Museum of Art. The Baiji were China dolphins that we used to see in the Yangtze River but that are now extinct. This sculpture immerses the viewer in the middle of fake bones and fake dolphins’ skeletons in suspension. In reality, these are wood pieces that he collected in local rivers and that he assembled together.
