In collaboration with students in design of Harvard University, OFIS‘ architects have built a shelter for climbers that climb the mountain Skuta, located in Slovenia. By creating a form that marries the architecture of the near-by mountains’ summits, AKT II engineers wanted this structure to be resistant to all the climatic drawbacks of the region (strong winds, heavy snowfall, and treacherous landslides) and made enough securitized for the temporary tenants.
