A new store was recently opened in Tokyo : the Ameshin. This shop proposes traditional Japanese candies called “amezaiku”. These sweets exist since the 8th century in the Japanese culture, where they were offered as edible gifts in temples or during the charity. The owner of the store, Shinri Tezuka, creates lollipops shaped like fish, frogs and other animals, with a mixture of sugar sirup and starch that he paints after. It gives beautiful and elegant translucent candies.
