Based in the Massachusetts, artist Jennifer Maestre creates unique and organic-shaped sculpture thanks to colorful pencils. To make a spikes’ massive structure, she must cut hundreds of pencils into 1-inch sections and drills a hole into each of the sections to transform them into beads. Then, she sharpens the sections and sews them together. She draws her inspiration from mythology, urchins, floral and animal shapes for her sculptures.
