“Transit” is a sculpture by Mumbai-based artist Valay Shende who has represented a life-size truck entirely made of stainless steel disks and that carries 22 people. It took 18 months to assemble the thousands of disks between each other and which are here to symbolize a tribute to the farmers’ suicides drama in India, during the last decade. A work exhibited at the Mumbai City Museum, this month.
