56th Studio has designed the chairs collection “Caricature as Furniture” based on the principle that “a bad drawing makes a good chair”. Initially, this project was an exploration of minimalist illustration and pop-Hollywood culture which allow to imagine furniture : this is how they’ve created chairs inspired by Grace Jones and her cubical forms, Simpsons family and many other references.
