Since 1921, we remember English soldiers of the World War I with poppies. Artist Rebecca Louise Law designed two curtains of 8000 red paper poppies, sewn and installed in the Guildhall Library, in London. The curtains lead to the famous poem “In Flanders Field” by John McCrae, engraved on a plaque, which has inspired the use of poppies for remembrances.
