Novecento is a new opentype font family of 32 styles, 471 glyphs, 12 Opentype features, diacritics for 76 latin based languages, .otf and webfont versions.This is the revised and improved version of Novecento, an uppercase-only font family inspired on european typographic tendencies between the second half of 19th century and first half of the 20th.

It looks rational and geometric. However, it is optically corrected and balanced.This font face is designed to be used mostly for headlines, visual identities or short sentences, both in big and small sizes. Lighter faces provide a more contemporary and design look&feel, while the bolder ones definitely look retro.A mini website was created to display and promote the Novecento Family.

Novecento font family and its website were both designed by  Synthview graphic design, Paris.

We are, as graphic designers, in permanent touch with analogical and digital tools such as pantone samples and mac computers. We wanted to mix this two activities using pantone samples as pixels. At this poster we are asking the crisis in a nicely way to go off and wishing our friends and clients a happy 2012.

I finished my next painting today, this time i combined my graphic style with an figurative style. I traveled twice to mexico this year, the mexican paintings and the art with skulls insired me making this painting in a “mexican style”.

Here is the transformation my newest painting had. It´s definitely the one i spent the most time on, and it´s the spontaneous Painting i did. I had no plan how it should look like in the end.About the size, it´s 2 meters long and about 80 cm high. The frame is out wood, the material of the canvas is nessel.

Fresh in San José, Produice by Matox and 44 artists

Nuno de Matos was invited with 44 international painters from all around the word to participate to the new Fresh Produice event organized by Anno Donini Gallery. Cherri Lakey is the co-fondator of this urban art gallery based in the heart of the silicon valley in San José. The opening is december 2nd, around 7PM > save the date.

Nicolas Deruy, Sylvain Simao, Samuel Riviere et Stephanie Burnet, issus de la formation ESIA 3D de l’école d’Arts de Bellecour, présentent leur court-métrage Jolie Bobine.

Prenant place dans un univers coloré et enfantin, Jolie Bobine raconte l’histoire de Bobine, une petite poupée dotée de la vie qui va tomber en admiration devant une ballerine.
